Barefootin' CT Snags

I'm back again with some more snags for you, this time featuring the gorgeous scrap kit Barefootin' by Creative Scraps by Crys.  This kit has 77 elements and 10 papers that are perfect for those steamy tropical tags or fun beach tags.  You can purchase this kit at Mystical Scraps here or Scraps & Company here.

For my first tag, I opted to use those steamy tropical elements and the artwork of VeryMany.  You can purchase VeryMany's tubes here.

CT Snags - Curiouser & Curiouser

Hi everyone!  I'm back with some more snags today.  First, I would like to say that I love Alice in Wonderland.  I mean, really, who doesn't?  So, this next kit Curiouser & Curiouser by Creative Scraps by Crys is perfect for all those Alice tags, wall papers and other projects.  It contains 75 elements and 20 papers, and I had such a hard time deciding just what to use.  (I wanted to use them all.)

My first set of snags is using the beautiful artwork of Very Many.  She has several really great Alice tubes.  You can purchase her tubes here.

 

My second set of snags features the adorable artwork of Maryline Cazenave.  After all, who says Alice has to be a human?  You can find Maryline's tubes at CDO here.

Blue Alice PTU Tutorial

This is an original tut by me.  Any resemblance to any other tut is purely coincidental.

Supplies
Paint Shop Pro.  I'm using version 9, but this will work in all versions.
Tube of choice - I'm using one by VeryMany.  You can purchase her tubes at her shop here.
PTU Scrap kit "Blue Bay" by P-O Concept.  Kit can be purchased at PFD and S&Co.
Font of choice.  The one I'm using is called  Abelard.

1.  Open a new canvas 800 x 800.  (Remember, I like a lot of room to play with.)
2.  Copy and paste element PO-bl87 as a new layer.
3.  Copy and paste element PO-bl16 as a new layer.
4.  Add a drop shadow of choice.  I used V&H 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5.
5.  Copy and paste element PO-bl25 as a new layer.
6.  Resize this layer to 85%.
7.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
8.  Drag tube layer under your bubble layer.  Resize as needed and position where you like under the bubble.
9.  Duplicate this layer and add a drop shadow to the original.
10.  Set your selection tool to circle with a feather of 0 and draw a circle approximately the size of the bubble.  It does not have to be exact.
11.  Invert selection and hit delete on both of your tube layers.
12.  Drag the copied tube layer above your bubble layer and lower the opacity to 50.
13.  Copy and paste element PO-bl48 as a new layer and position near the bottom of your tag.
14.  Add a drop shadow.
15.  Add some elements of choice.  I used PO-bl39 and PO-bl96.
16.  Crop your excess canvas.
17.  Resize to your liking.  I left the header for this tut at the original size.  I resized the tags to 60%.
18.  Add your copyright credits and name.
19.  Save as PNG or JPEG.

Scrap kit "Wild West" by P-O Concept

Mask - JustFi_Mask_001 by Fiona

1.  Open a new canvas 800 x 800.  I'm starting out big, so I have lots of room to work with.
2.  Open element P-O wi2 and paste as a new layer.
3.  Using your magic wand with the tolerance and feather set to 0, click inside your frame.
4.  Selections>Modify>Expand by 3.
5.  Copy and paste paper P-O wipp6 as a new layer.
6.  Invert your selection and hit delete on your keyboard.  Keep selected.
7.  Open your close up and paste as a new layer.
8.  Position where you like within the frame and hit delete on your keyboard.
9.  Drag both of these layers under your frame layer.
10.  On your close up layer change the blend mode to Luminance and the opacity to 60.
11.  Duplicate your paper layer two times for a total of 3 layers.
12.  On your bottom paper layer, apply Eye Candy 4000 HSB Noise with the following settings.

13.  Repeat HSB Noise on the other two paper layers with the same settings, but hit the random seed button once on each layer.  Hide the top 2 layers for now.
14.  Apply a drop shadow to your frame.  I use H &V:2  O: 50 B:5
15.  Add your tube as a new layer and drop shadow.
16.  Add the elements you like and add a drop shadow to each of them.  Below are the elements I used.  You can use my tag as a reference for where I placed them.

17.  Paste paper P-O wipp8 as a new layer and drag to bottom.

18.  Layers>New Mask Layer>From Image and choose JustFi_Mask_001.

19.  Crop your tag and resize to your liking.  I like a smaller tag, so I resized mine to 60%.

20.  Add your copyright information and your name.

Animation

1.  Copy merged and go to Animation Shop and paste as new image. 

2.  Hide your bottom paper layer and unhide the middle paper layer.  

3.  Copy merged and in Animation Shop, paste after current frame.

4.  Hide your middle paper layer and unhide your top paper layer.

5.  Copy merged and in Animation Shop, paste after current frame.

6.  Select all frames and change the frame properties to 20.

7.  Save as a GIF.   Remember that you may want to keep a white background, since Animation Shop does strange things to transparent images.
