Color Palette Tutorial

Here goes everyone.  I am finally going to try my hand at writing a tutorial on my blog.  Please be gentle with me.  This tutorial is my own creation and is copyrighted to me.

For this tutorial, you will need a general knowledge of PSP.  I am using version 9, but it should work in other versions.

Supplies
Color Palette of your choice.  You can make your own, or I'll provide a couple that I've made at the bottom of the post.  You can also get some here.
Tube of choice.  The tube I'm using is by Gerben den Heeten.  You can purchase his tubes here.
Filters -
     Mura's Meister Copies
     Xero Fritillary
      AAA Frames Foto Frame

OK  Let's go!

Open your tube and color palette in PSP.  For my palette, I used a combination of colors that were in my tube and complimented my tube.

1.  Open a new image 600 x 250.  I use a colored background to start because it makes it easier for me to see.

2.  Copy and paste your palette to your new image as a new layer.

3.  Apply Mura's Meister Copies - Wall Paper rotate with the default settings.

Depending on the size of your palette, you may have to apply the filter more than once to fill the canvas.

4.  This step is important, or your frame will not work right.  Click on your crop tool and click the crop to canvas option as shown below.

5.  Apply a motion blur with the angle at 305 and the strength at 100.

6.  Apply Xero Fritillary with the following settings:
Feel free to play with the settings to your liking.

7.  Edge Effects > Enhance

8.  Add your tube to one side of the canvas and add a drop shadow of choice.  Once again crop your tag to canvas.

9.  Merge your layers and apply AAA Frames Foto Frame with the following settings:

10.  Add your copyright and name.  The font I used for my name is Dingle Hopper.  I added a fat glow using Eye Candy 4000.

11.  Save as a JPEG or PNG.

Here are some other palettes I used and some more tags I made using my tutorial.
